In California, even C&R handguns need to be transfered through a California licensed dealer.

The rifle looks kind of like a Remington Nylon 66, but I can't tell for sure. Does the rifle have a model name/number stamped on it? Some of the earliest versions of the Nylon 66 are over 50 years old and eligible for dealerless transfers within California. But the vast majority of them are not yet old enough. I believe there is a way to find the age of Remington rifles by checking a code of letters/number stamped on the barrel.

On the revolver, I found these:

Hi, Does anyone of this board know about a 22LR revolver (7 shot) built by a company called Arms Co? I acquired the pistol pictured below from a show this weekend. I think it may have been made in th

I'm not sure if "Arms Co" of Nashville, TN has anything to do with the current Armscor company.

Remington rifles should have a date code stamped on the barrel. Details here:

The OP needs to come back and tell us what all the stampings on that rifle say. I'm betting all the info is right there - we just need to see them!

That is not a Remington 66 (they were semi autos) That is a bolt action 22 they built in a similar way. Can't rember the model number.......maby a 10 or 12?

In the condition they appear to be in, fair to poor, probably not much dollar value. Keep them. Looks like the rifle has the elevation slide missing. PAX

From internet research, it looks like some Nylon 10 rifles are collectors items and some are not really worth much. What do you guys think?
From what I can gather from this site

The Nylon 10 was made between 1962 and 1964. Not quite old enough for for cash and carry in this state.
                    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Due to it's poor condition and broken stock the Nylon 10 is a "parts gun". Worth more for it's individual parts than if you were to sell it whole. So if I were you I'd take it apart and sell the individual parts on Gun Broker.

The Arms Co. revolver is worth less than the cost to PPT it....

The Remington Nylon 10 was only made from 1962 to 1964 (It was a commercial flop.) so coming up on C&R status. If not working, either part it out or, depending on your feelings on the subject, gun buyback. You did not mention your location. If in L.A., buybacks are around Mother's Day.

No flamers please on the buyback please, just trying to be of help.
I see no reason to flame. I'd do it. I know the point of the buy-back is suppose to get functional illegal guns off the street, but they often can be heard griping about getting what are essentially trash. Nothing wrong with that if it works to your advantage.

Heck, I'd want to go and see if I can be a vulture and get a few good deals, and pull a few people out of line, hehe.

Socal, The rear sight alone could get you alot more than what any social buyback program would pay. Check out this website: http://www.nylonrifles.com/wp/2009/0...tonnylonrifle/
