Want to make a bowling ball mortar for me. I have the stuff. I have ammo for it also. Now I have 16 bowling balls. If not what about a beer can(soda in my case) mortar.

Also need a photo of the ones you have.

That's what I need to do. I need to make a cannon. Except not in .177.

I have renewed my interest in making small .177 cal cannons (I think the .30 cal is alittle over kill). They will be made out of brass and an aluminum base. I will update this thread when I have my prototype made and begin taking orders. Cannons will be $25 shipped but you must supply your own fuse/powder/ammo.

        tagged for curiousity.

Doug, if you have the oxygen cylinder, my neighbor will weld it up for you. We were just discussing building a BP muzzle stuffer cannon, out of a WWII 40mm AA barrel that's had about two feet of the chamber end cut off. I think the shipping on top of the $800 price tag might put a damper on it though. Being rifled, I'd have to make a 40mm mini ball mold too.

I got a BP cannon, everyone should have one
If you need help with any stragglers, call a friend, because it's likely that they have a gun. America in particular have done exceptionally well taking care of the problem, as there are 1.12 guns for every 1 American citizen. So throw a rock, you'll probably hit a gun, pick up that gun, then shoot a zombie.

I have the cylinder but it is still full of O2. I need a plug for the valve replacement then drill it for the fuse and a cross pin to lock it in place. Then build a mount for the bore that I can break down for transport.

Then I really want to built a beer can mortar. They are fun with beer/soda cans filled with concrete.

Dangit, now I want a cannon too. Let's see some pics of your prototype please! I'll prolly be in for one. Now I'm wondering where they got all those cannons they used to shoot off in Boy Scouts.

                    Gosh, I hope it's legal, I have three, here's a thread where I built a carriage for the largest, a .50.

I have projectiles for it, but so far all I have fired is wadding, a damp paper towel seems to keep secondary burns from taking the hillside.

                    It's loud.
