    I don't see anything wrong with the name either. It's just unusual I suppose. I guess in the same way how odd it would be to march off to war with a "United States of America rifle"

        Found the US Patent and designs. Apparently never adopted but an ingenuous design nonetheless. I wonder the value of that piece ...

            So educate me on the actual use. Is it like a pump action shotgun with a twist? Very cool piece.

                  I had a Mendoza .22 air rifle when I was living in New Mexico. I learned to the basics with this rifle and I took many ground squirrels with it. I think it's still in grandma's house. I was real heavy but accurate.

                    Yeah, it sounds like you operate the bolt by twisting the back half of the rifle.
