see, the thing is, most people who say that their milsurp rifles cant hit crap simply dont know how to shoot them. it's nothing to be insulted by, it si,ply takes practice. it is not like shooting an ar or savage 10fp at all. after about 600 rounds you will suddenly discover that your gun can do better than 24 MOA and then youll go onto THR or Calguns and brag about your "tack driver" :neener:

That will change when you shoot a K31.

too bad, i wish i could have got a k31, but the high price ammo is the reason that i haven't

i can't shoot my 98k as much as i want due to the same reason

now the only thing i can do is to use m44 to blast 7.62x54r rounds and make very one at the range hate me

I have one of those coming soon too! I just recently heard of the K31. Upon doing some internet searches I learned that K31s were going for as little as $79! Wow, where was I? Chasing down OLLs in dusty Highland, CA!

Yeah, I think I got on the K31 bandwagon just after all those $79 big 5 sales ended. K31 is a lot of fun to shoot, just expensive. Of course if the surplus doesn't start flowing again then everything is going to be expensive and then the K31 will really seem like a good deal.

how about a swede mauser in 6.5x55? its ammo from samco seems to be cheaper than 7.5 k31

                    My guns have arrived!

UPS delivered my package at 6:20pm! The late delivery sucks because I took the day off work expecting to spend the day refinishing the stock.

My K98 is a bcd 4 #4911X; so I understand it was probably made in 1945. Bore is perfect. The metal is pretty good with the only blemish is an electro pencil number on the bolt.

The k31 is walnut #83275X which puts it in 1944.

Anyhooo I'll post more and better pics once I'm done refinishing the stocks. So far all that commie varnish and stain washed right off. What was Ivan thinking?!
