Remember to make tons of copies of the C&R license UNSIGNED. Remember dealers want a copy but one that is signed in ink with your signature not copy. Then send out to the various dealers that offer C&R guns ahead of time so when something good is available you won't miss the sale. Each dealer has some specific instructions so look it up on the website. Write an informal little note to go with the license that way the dealers knows whats up when they receive it.

Grafs, MidwayUSA and Brownells give dealer pricing to C&R holders also. Just remember with MidwayUSA sometimes having a dealer account will negate the use of some good coupons - so I usually just like to have Graf and Brownell.

The first thing to do is READ , READ , READ the rule book that will come before your license arrives and get familiar with rules/ regs. Then you will know what to do. Its not that hard but so many dont take thr responsibilty that comes with the license to know the rules.
No way you will ever know them all but you can always refer back to the book or go online at the ATF site

My packet came about 5 weeks after my licence, some get it before and some get it after but like Orlando said, Read, Read, Read. There is lots of good info here in the C&R forum and lots of people that will answer a question when needed.

1) Make copies (a bunch), scan and send email to Brownells & Midway for discounts.

2) Print sheets and stick in a binder for your book.

I got my license about 2 weeks from the time my CC was charged. The introduction packet was on my doorstep the next day.

My first 2 Mosin's will arrive this Wednesday.

hate to bring the bad news the batf charged my CC on 4/27/11... i've yet to still get it... honestly its a bit irritating... but you should start saving up and what you should do now is if you are married start explaining to your wife how you will be buying lots of rifles.

Any update...did you get your FFL yet? Just curious since I'm in the same boat and was charged on the 24th...hopefully, it doesn't take the full three months

Spend your time waiting for the license, deciding what guns interest you & what you can afford to spend over the next year......
