Out of curiosity to the OP (or anyone else who does this), is there a particular reason for the choice of red ink to sign the license copies? Is it just to make clear that the signature on the copy is original?

For Graf & Sons, they will accept a signed, scanned copy of your FFL via email.

A day after I emailed my copy, I received an email detailing how to create a new dealer account online.

ETA - For 03 FFL, DO NOT fill out the boxes, just use the email link. The Boxes are for 01 FFL only.

          Great sticky. 2 quick adds:

          1) I sent my FFL to Wideners and I *think* they give a discount (but I am only 80% sure on that.

          2) As to Classic Arms, after buying 5 rifles from them in the last 24 months I have to agree with your frustration about getting them on the phone but disagree with your assessment of them. They are top notch folks. Sure, they are hard to get on the phone but they are a bunch of really decent people trying to sell guns in, what for them is an unfamiliar medium (i.e. the Internet). That doesn't excuse it but when I can get them on the phone, esp. the owner who often answers the call I get helpful advice, top notch service and he's a really nice guy to boot. Some of his jokes, while corny, are hysterical. Esp. the one about the duck & the grapes

I did have a CS issue with them on one of the rifles I bought and they more then took care of me. The prices are almost always good to great, what I get is always in better then promised condition and they have earned my trust. For what it's worth... that is my experience.

          Thx again for the sticky.

Scanned my FFL03 into a PDF and emailed it to several companies.
Discounts in place from Brownell's, Midway, Numrich; FFL on file with AIM Surplus (they say they will have a discount program in place in March or so), J&G want me to mail a copy to them to go on file. Widener's replied they have no FFL discount program. All this from emails out Sunday about 4pm and responses by noon om Monday. The discounts range from about 10% for Numrich and Midway (10% or less on some items), to something more at Brownell's (does not look like an absolute percentage).

I think everyone I emailed responded.

Once you have a C&R, do you have to keep a record of every gun you purchase, even if your license wasn't involved, i.e. buying a modern handgun thru a FFL dealer?

                  No, only C&R eligible firearms.

                      Holy Crap!

I failed to consider that my 03 FFL would apply to Midway, etc...

                        ****GRAFS UPDATE****

I've been sending out my C&R to all the usual places, and just got an email back from grafs about getting my dealer pricing. I've got a dealer account but I've been informed that i'll loose it after a year if I'm not spending $2000 annually . Just something I thought you all would like to know.

I faxed my 03 FFL to Brownells and provided my account login, email, and other personal information at about 2:30 today and received an email from them 10 minutes later letting me know that it had been received. Now when I login I get dealer pricing

Emailed a PDF copy of my FFL to DealerSales@MidwayUSA.com along with my account number and other personal information last night, this AM my account had been updated.

AIMsurplus.com has a section in your account profile to upload a PDF of your FFL, I uploaded mine yesterday and sent a follow-up email to see if that was all I needed to do and they replied to me this AM saying they had received it and my account had been updated.

I sent Brownells & MidwayUSA a jpg. scan and got my accounts setup. Did the same with AIMsurplus but havn't checked with them yet, the scan shows up on my account screen so we will see.

Glad you are all enjoying the process of getting discounts and getting to be - almost - back to being a citizen of the USA who has rights to a 2nd amendment!

You all are reminding me I have my FFL03 renewal paperwork sitting here, guess it's time for another $30.
