8mm Nambu ammo...original, boxed

These have been sitting in my dad's closet since 1971. I know they are rare, but is there much of a market for original Nambu ammo, still sealed in their boxes?

I am not a collector, so I just wondered if this is something that would be of interest to Nambu collectors. Thanks for any info.

Unless you want to bust one open, it is a crap shoot. I suggest throwing one out on Gunbroker and seeing what happens. It is pretty easy to do. It would have to be shipped UPS if you don't sell it locally.

I have never shipped ammo. Does it have to go to someone with an FFL?

You can ship it yourself - It can't go US mail - Only UPS or FEDEX with an ORM-D sticker on it -

There is a Japanese Trader board that is part of that forum. Ask them what its worth then list it on the trader. I'm sure someone will take it off your hands for a fair price

The 3 from the left are labeled for the Type 94 pistol and are dated September, 1939. The last one on the right is labeled for the Type 14 and dated May, 1940.
I don't collect period ammo too often, but some people would pay well for those. Don't open them.
As far as the barrel goes... sell on Gun Broker to get top dollar. They don't seem to go for much from what I've seen.

You DO have a treasure trove there. Spend some time on the Gunboards. That ammo is rare and the barrel, to the right person, is worth $$$$.
