    C&R S&W

Picked this baby up from a fellow calgunner. a S&W model 15. It came with the usual Pachmayr gripper , replaced with S&W factory service grips for a more "classic" look. Great thing about it was with my C&R and COE, no 10 day wait. Price was pretty good, got it for $300.

    Very Nice. Good price too.
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

it doesnt say a model number on it, the seller told me it was a model 15 made in 1958. I swung open the cylinder and it just says the frame # on it.

Is the serial number between K350548 to K386804? That's 1959 Manufacture and would be a 15-1 series.
          1958 is K317823 to K350547 ; it is a 15

If I remember S&W model numbers started right at mid or end of 1957. My .357 made in 57 is one of the last before the model designations started. That's a beauty. I've always liked vintage S&W revolvers.

                  That's what I'm thinking.
You might want to contact Roy Jinks for it's history.
In very good or better condition. What do you have? Thanks in advance.

I was looking at that.. its $50 and he looks up where your gun was shipped to from the factory. Would be neat to have and if you ever sell the gun it would certainly command the +$50 to the sale.

sometimes, maybe not anymore, you could just email him for basic info on it.
worth a try. Heck go to S&W Forum and ask around. Very good info there for S&W!
