A few years ago, I caught the handgun bug. I grew up shooting rifles and shotguns in Kansas, but after moving out to Orange County, my recent interest was solely in handguns, for whatever reason. Some friends and I decided to go camping out near Lytle Creek over Memorial Day weekend. We camped Friday night and went to the range on Saturday. My friends brought along an Enfield and an SKS, among other things. I had so much fun shooting rifles again that within 48 hours of coming back from Lytle creek, I became the proud owner of this '51 Russian SKS! It's a factory refurb with all matching numbers (even the stock - doesn't have the normal XXX's over the old numbers that you would see on a refurb, apparently). She's a really clean gun, and I can't wait to take her out.

I have no doubt that this is just the beginning of a long and beautiful love affair with C&R rifles.
A question for you gentlemen with more experience firing the 7.62x39 cartridge:
Do you have any favorite brands of ammunition? If so, where is the best place to buy it?
Thanks!
