C&R question, may be the wrong forum...

...but I figured if anyone would know, it'd be one of you fine folk in the C&R section

Along similar lines of the other thread about a trip to J&G Sales in AZ... I live in San Fran, have 03FFL and Reno, NV is significantly closer than Prescott, AZ.

AFAIK, Nevada has 'cash and carry' - is it legally cool to drive over to Reno with the 03FFL and bring purchases back with me from there?

Let me know if I should get this moved elsewhere and thanks in advance

Not a problem, that's what your C&R is for. The only problem you may have is finding a Nevada dealer that will sell to you, even with your 03FFL. CA DOJ has spread so much FUD up there that many of the dealers are running scared. Make sure you hit Cabelas on the way in to Reno. Sometimes they have a few gems. I usually don't hit Reno unless there is a gun show in town because the selection at the few dealers that will deal with a someone from CA is usually not that great.

I guess Cabelas will deal with CA 03FFL?

Perhaps it's worth a little time making a list of border local NV dealers who will sell to CA 03's. I'll make some calls tomorrow (if the datacenter gremlins allow the time) and pop a thread up

I guess you mean the Brit singer and not my cousin. --
Question is, are you old enough to remember her?
I no longer remember the names of her popular songs but I remember her voice quite well, she was a great singer -- May have been in a movie or twoi as well.

Every time this question comes up I always give the same answer. When you're planning a road trip google guns and pawn in the cities you are gonna be spending some time in and make a list of all the shops. Call them and see what, if any guns they have that would qualify as C&R.

As was mentioned in NV the FUD daemons have and are running a muck. So, in the case of a trip to NV it is always a good idea to ask if they will sell you C&R guns with you C&R license.

And, don't forget that being in No Cal you have another option. Oregon. I also hear that they are much nicer to CA 03 C&R holders.
          Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I have had great luck at cabelas in verdi (Reno) with a CA C&R.. even with handguns. I had only sales guy who thought I couldn't buy handguns but I haven't seen him in there for a few years.
