    C&R Shipping?

    Have a question:

I have a C&R rifle for sale in the marketplace. An interested party wants me to ship. My understanding is that a C&R long gun can be sold FTF with no DROS, etc. I was also under the impression that if you ship a C&R long gun to a non-licensee, the non-FTF nature means it has to go through an FFL.

    Thanks for confirmation.

There is no face-to-face requirement under applicable law.

      What Matt said.

If you want to sell a long gun 50 years old to someone in California and you are in California then all you need to do is ask the buyer if He/She is at least 18 years old and can legally buy it. If they answer yes; take their money and give them their new rifle. You can also do all of this through the mail.
      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

The only issue with shipping a 50+ year old C&R long gun for this kind of sale is verifying that the buyer is really an 18+ year old California resident. If the buyer is really an 18+ year old California resident then you will have broken no laws. If the buyer turns out to be a 16 year old kid who sent you a Photoshop'd picture of a California ID then you will have broken the law.

Call them on the phone and you need to send by UPS or other parcel service anyway so have them only release package to an adult.

USPS will do the same thing. Certified mail requires an adult signature.
