The shorter M-49 is Persian made.






the crests. BRNO made rifle first, then the Persian made rifles crest. To me the BRNO crest is much nicer. The Persian lion looks to me like the cowardly lion from the wizard of OZ.

Hi, I would like to purchase one of these Persian Mausers. I don't have a FFL, do I have to find a FFL first to send their info to SAMCO before I can place the order? Anybody recommend a FFL near Glendale/La Crescenta/Burbank, CA? How long did it take for you to receive the rifle?

The reason they call them VG "no bluing" rifles. Is some of the parts lack their original blue finish and have been refinished with a flatter black finish. Still nice though and a bargain. Nothing but old world quality.

That makes a lot of sense -- the bluing does look a little darker than some of my other milsurps.

San Jose, but I have a 03 FFL, so no need to use an 01 FFL.

Original. Newer production compare to being 98, hence M98/29. Still old world quality. You wouldn't regret ordering one for the price, action is so smooth.

i cant wait to see your pictures, ive been wanting to get a persian mauser for such a long time, and then samco stopped selling the unissued with the matching bayonet and all that good stuff, and ive been curious to see what condition the other ones they offer are in. also not to be a dick about it but the numbers are not in arabic they are in farsi.

i figure ill just throw this out there, but if youre ever interested in letting that persian mauser and bayonet go, let me know

Just a minor point I meant to respond to earlier, but Farsi uses Arabic script.
