    First C&R / COE Purchase!!

Just picked up a C&R handgun from a fellow calgunner yesterday (1950 circa S&W revolver). Did a PPT with C&R and COE and drove home with it.

First time I've been able to buy a handgun like I was in America since I left America and moved to CA 17 years ago. I actually felt FREE.

If you like C&R goodies, the COE combination does have its advantages. I got my COE in preparation for AB962 since the only indentifier I was willing to leave to buy ammo was a stool sample. The added benefit of buying like you're an American definitely made it seem worthwhile considering the dumping of AB962.

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Here's a pic. S&W K38 with pachmyr grips. Grips are a little big for my relatively small hands so I'm starting to search for some target grips for it.

Didn't get a chance to hit the range yesterday (purchase day +1) but she will get some use before the 10 day infringement period WOULD have been over.

      BTW - Calguns is great!!

Congratulations on your purchase of a nice Smith.

It's a shame you must show your papers to take your property home with you.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

That's for sure. I remember when I lived in CT ages ago. They only had a 3 day infringement period but you could cash and carry with a CCW and they're 'shall issue' because you can't transport a handgun (except to/from gun shop for purch/sale/repair) without a CCW.

Thanks. It just kind of called to me. My pocket could afford the price and POOF there it is.

Looking forward to getting her out the range. It may have to be an evening this week.
