Help identifying rifle....

This was my grandfathers and when my dad was still alive he didn't now much about it... as a kid i thought it was a display piece. So far I have found a little info online that it could be a Schuetzen Rifle, Flobert or Zimmerstutzen... The rifle has no markings other than the bat shape opposite hammer and 5. at the end of the muzzle.... trying to narrow down who, what and when..date if poss... cal...and make/model

I sorta recognize it. I'm doing a search in my old Swiss files right now, but I have an awful lot of them. Back when I can.

Got it. A friend of mine confirmed it.

Looks to me like a small boy's or child's parlour zimmerstutzen or freizeitschutzengewehr. It shoots a little cartridge, something like a CB cap or even a Flobert type of around 4.5mm calibre, from the last few inches of the barrel. It loads via the trap in the barrel that you can see about about halfway back from the muzzle and the hammer is connected to the 'real' firing pin by means of the crank that you can see leading forward from the hammer.

It is missing the rear sight.

My Great Uncle Ig had one.
