    Ammunition shipping in California.

My Dad just got off the phone with the GM at Graf & Sons. Grafs will ship any and all live ammunition into California, including Orange County. They'll ship GP11 for Swiss rifles as often as they have it.
Pick up the phone, and its on it's way. Midway might not, but Graf's will.

I bought from Graf once. The annoying thing is the website doesn't show the shipping cost. Then they charge shipping cost separately on my credit card. I was all happy about the cheap 45 ACP I bought until I saw the shipping cost of $26 for 500 rounds. That made the ammo roughly on par with other vendors.

Ordered a case of Tula 9mm back in January and they didn't charge any extra for shipping. They were even waving the $5 handling fee for orders over $150. Really like Grafs, usually check their prices anytime I order something.

Sigfan, did you ever submit a C&R to them to get dealer pricing? They offer lower "dealer" prices, but charge shipping. "Regular" orders have free shipping + handling charge. From their site:

Graf & Sons pays the freight!

Freight is prepaid to the 1st 48 states on regular ground service only except for target load ammo (trap, skeet and sporting clay ammo sold by the case). Each order will have a Non-Refundable $4.95 handling insurance charge for Internet orders and a $6.95 handling and insurance charge for mail, phone or fax orders added, excluding AK & HI orders, or any order where the customer pays actual freight & insurance. Orders shipping to AK & HI or any customer requesting a different ship via than UPS or FedEx ground will pay actual freight & insurance. We reserve the right to ship by UPS, FedEx, commercial truck or Parcel Post.

I have never had to pay shipping just handling, check your paperwork and buy more next time. I also have never had to pay HAZMAT as they will pick that up at a minimum buying cost. Stop whining and shoot more.

Never had a problem with J&G either. And being in AZ, their shipping is usually pretty good.

Both Graf's and J&G are great in service, stock, and shipping. Shipping was about half as much for J&G than Graf's, but AZ is closer than PA (I think Grafs is out of Penn...).

Does dealer pricing offset the extra shipping?

Grafs is in Mexico. Mexico Missouri that is.

I've only placed one order with Grafs so far and was very pleased with them. I did pay shipping but it was only about $12 for 500 rounds of .32ACP and a fairly good size hard plastic Take Down gun case.
                Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

                  Lets try this again.

The more you order the lower the shipping price. Order enough ammo or powder and they eat the $25 HAZMAT shipping fee.

Didn't really look at it too much. But I'll tell you this. The .32ACP ammo I bought was $14.49 retail and $11.89 @ dealer price for a savings of $26 on the ammo. And another $6.40 on the Take Down Rifle case. That's a $32.40 savings and I only paid $12 for shipping and it got to my house on a Saturday for that price. I am very pleased with the dealer pricing and shipping from Grafs. I will be doing more shopping from them.

You have to order a LOT to make it worth it, especially with ammo. I sent my C&R in to get the dealer pricing and ended up having them switch me back to a regular account. I ordered through their normal site after submitting it and they actually called me and asked because they had flagged me as a dealer.

same here, i have C&R on file but always specify non-dealer cause free shipping comes out cheaper.
