^^Thanks for the quick reply. Could you let me know who you used I'm getting two mausers and would rather not drive 4/12 hours each way if I didn't have to.

I prefer using UPS. Cost will be <$20 with insurance for each (if shipped separately). I'd imagine if they shipped together, you'd see cost savings.

All I have here is USPS and I've never had a problem.
I ship priority + adult signature required + delivery confirmation + insurance. All the way to Vermont cost me less than $30.

I use USPS. It's usually $10-$15. I use 'parcel post' though (yeah I'm cheap like that) but I've never had a problem.

Thanks for all of the responses I'm gonna see if the seller is willing to ship it'd be a whole lot less of a hassle on both of us if that'd work out

USPS has worked well for me. Also for brass and bullets etc.

Were you shipping from a real UPS shipping counter or were you shipping from a "The UPS Store" location?

Ship all the time using USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation.
Never had a problem. If it's a high value rifle, I will also get the insurance.

Stay away from UPS. I had all kinds of trouble with the last two rifles sent to me via UPS.
                              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
