Thats not due to the laquer on the cases, but instead the fact that they are steel and it doesnt expand and contract the same way brass cases do when they are fired.

In my experience, any steel cases I've used that weren't 7.62x39 fed and operated terribly. I'll pay more for brass cases. However, in this case, you don't have to. The Yugo 8mm is good stuff. Accurate enough for my Mausers... (most of which are iron sights anyway)

Not a fan of the romy stuff. But the 50s Yugo I have stacked everywhere shoots great. Kinda stinky, but very consistent.

I would agree, the Yugo does have a curious "stinky" smell
