Re-stained wood, butt-pad, tried to float the barrel, shot worse, so I corked the barrel. Lightened the trigger by bending and polishing the spring. I'm a destroyer of all things holy!

no you made it a bit more functional, you sought to make it unique by putting your own finish on it. im not a purist, i have treated my mosins with finn wax. but i guess some view me as a purist. im down with it just as long as theres not any spray paint.

This is my modified Mosin. It was modified in 1944 by the Finnish Sako factory and helped a country win its independence. Im not a purist and I do appreciate a job well done. But this rifle was done right the second time around

Are you shooting .308 diameter bullers? Mine needs like .313, but they're hard to find. Too expensive to be worthwhile.

303 brit is the closest commercial thing I've seen. But yea, my barrel slugged pretty big. I might sell this mosin in order to get a different one, but I think surplus ammo is .310, so I don't imagine getting a mosin with a bore diameter of .308.
