another fine British invention, along with the paratroop leg bag, PIAT, atomic land mine... last but not least Lucas refrigerators,they don't work hence why they drink warm beer.

Those British spike bayonets were actually sold as tent stakes in the 60's and 70's. I don't remember the exact price, I think it was about 25 cents. They did not have scabbards.
