It was with some stuff that Big 5 had on sale, the white box Tula ammo.

It's funny you say that. I've got a 1941 Sako with an old import mark on the end of the barrel stamped "98/22 8mm C.A.I Georgia VT".

Evidently at one time the folks at Century thought the M39 was a Mauser!

nice grouping! and yes, they can be a bit picky if it comes to ammo; my 41 vkt loves m30 heavy ball, my other 42 vkt however doesn't like it but shoots geat with bulgarian light ball.

Probably why they always say to have the gun checked out by a competent gunsmith before firing.

i fired my 1944 Sako M39 for the first time using winchester ammo it shot cloverleafs at 100yrds the jarheads next to me were amazed they were shooting a M4 w/a Eotech red dot and not doing so welli had to rub it in a little by saying my shooting wasn't bad for an old dogface w/ an old rifle who had'nt shot a rifle for a year or so

Move the target back beyond 500 yards, you will still have the upper hand with the M39, especially with a breeze blowing across the range.

i wish i could find local range that had a range longer than 100yrds. i don't like to post pictures of my weapons this is the PRK and you don't know who is watching us thats also why i don't brag about what weapons i do have w/me here in the PRK . the weapons i have in storage back in N.C. and in ALA. would make the pantie waists crap in thier panties.
