My Garand spits out the clip before all eight rounds are shot. This happens only once in a while. Is there anything ovious I should be looking for? Do I have lubed too much?

Replace the clip latch spring.
I think that's the first thing on the trouble shooting list for that problem. No, I don't think I'll ever get over Macho Grande. -
if the clip and ammo is being ejected after only the first 2 or 3 rounds, then it is the clip latch spring.. if the clip is being spit out with 1 or 2 rounds left.. then it is the bullet guide and/or the spring as well as it might be the clip latch itself...'Just Don't Point, Squint, and Laugh! '
