    Midway

A couple people have made mention about being able to send in your C&R license to Midway and they will give you a discount on purchases. Is this true? If so do I just need to send in a copy of the license or do I need to do anything else?

Thanks for any help you are able to provide. I tried searching for the answer but was unable to find anything.

Midways discount is not that good, but any discount is better than none. Graf and Sons has a discount plan also and so does brownells.

Midway's normal 'discounts' are not too spectacular...save some weekly/monthly/closeout specials. You can occasionally get some good deals, but not close to what Brownells offers as their normal pricing to ffl's.

If you like to modify your guns, be aware that Midway's smithing tools are generally inferior to Brownells; a number of cheapo chinese imports with no country of origin in the catalog. I've been disappointed more than once.

        midwaY dealer pricing

It seems to me that midway changed the dealer pricing to nearly the same as retail pricing. It used to be just bullets, etc, but now more items are showing a small difference (<5%) vs. retail. Has anyone else noticed this?

And be carefull! I've noticed that the prices on some items actually are higher after you log in as a dealer . I emailed them about this but never got a response.

I have noticed in the past month or so that the dealer discounts are not that great.

I agree, Midway's discounts have become rather cheesy. discounts on a box of 100 bullets a year ago were about a dollar a box. Now it is only 10 cents a box I agree about there gunsmithing tools also. spend the little extra money and go with Brownell's, there tools are first rate.

Thanks everyone for all the information. It looks like Brownells and possibly Graf and Sons will be places to check for my future gun related purchases.

                      RE: Midway discounts.

As stated, some discounts are not so hot, some are much better. When they run sales on certain items, the sales price is many times just the dealer price.

I saw a couple group buys for DPMS stuff in the last few months, here and on another board, the "10 people or more" price was more than the Dealer price at midway, so that's not too bad for for getting your own discount and getting it delivered in a couple days rather than weeks. And, there's no need to send some individual a Postal Money order and wait for all the other people to do the same, I use my credit card, earn points for every dollar spent, and am on my way.

On some products the Midway dealer prices are lower than a certain major national firearm/accessory distributor.

Last year the DPMS 24" SS bull barrel 1-8 was >$100 less expensive than the retail price. (I found out when my C&R arrived a month after I bought the upper.) I agree that a $40 discount is pretty good, but it was closer to 15-20% on AR parts.

I used to do most of my online shopping at Midway, but now that the dealer pricing has changed, I've started looking at Brownells and other dealers that give better pricing.

What discount % at Brownells / Grafs?

Very interested in this thread, just sent out my C&R copies to about 28 dealers, including the above. Getting ready for the Carbine release at CMP and in the market for 10-round mags and ammo. What kind of discounts, percentage-wise, are we talking about?

What is/was the Midway dealer price for the last DPMS uppers we had the group buy for here? Because they don't even carry/list them on the website..
