I tripped on that too. I've seen every version of TLA's for Social Security Number, but not that one...

I noticed there were a few names on the Live Scan list that are fingerprint services. I used one fellow at 870 Market St, he did the old fashioned paper print & they were rejected because they were not on Live Scan. Looks like 850 Bryant St is the best deal.

So how does one use a C&R FFL in CA - is a COE required to gain all benefits of a C&R FFL, or is the C&R FFL itself good enough if I just wanted to call up out of state dealers and buy a C&R rifle?

I would get a COE but San Leandro PD charges $120 for live scans and Alameda county sherrifs don't do live scans.... $120 for a live scan just to get a COE to get by the 10 day wait would be a waste of $$$ for me......

COE: NOt just the ten day wait

It will also allow you to pick up all handguns on the same day/paperwork. (allows you to purchase more than one handgun every 30 days.)

The waiting period exemption is only for C&R handguns. The one handgun a month exemption is good for both modern and C&R handguns.
