    You are correct, the original design was intended to be very soldier friendly. So it is very shooter friendly as well. The Enfield has so many great features that it makes for an optimum platform for building up with a new caliber.

    The only pain in the *** part is finding SOLID scope mounts for them.

      You very well could do that, the problem is getting the barrel off in useable condition. Most of the time the barrel has to be cut on the shoulder to get it off of the reciever.
