    Boo, gotta find a middleman.
YMMV, but they HAVE transferred a C&R rifle to me directly, but I'm an 03 C&R FFL holder. In fact, that was the reason I initially got my 03 FFL, so I could by a C&R rifle they had a great price on.

They WON'T transfer to an 01 FFL in California because they don't want to deal with the CFLC stuff...which is really lame, because it takes all of 20 minutes to sign up for CFLC access on the CADOJ website, like another poster said, I guess they don't want to make money.

I've ordered ammo from them before, but they're prices aren't the best lately and with their anti-California attitude, I think I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

    Again, YMMV...
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

If you want a ~$200 K-31 I highly recommend Allan's Armory. Very nice guy to deal with, good prices, and his descriptions are spot on. Also you can have the satisfaction that your money isn't going to some Anti-CA jerks.

I think the Allans-armory site is a bit better because you can see the rifle you are going to purchase.

ive ordered from allens, and i like the "see what you get" aspect. you dont get to fondle the rifle, but at least you can visually inspect the thing from a pic standpoint. i have heard of good things from wideners with no real complaints. i still dont like that im given what they have, and no return policy available as per their site.

Odd, I've purchased 2x 98ks from them before, this must be new policy

I had a long talk with the new owner yesterday. According to them, ownership changed in Nov '08. To summerize our dragging conversation, C&R and 03FFL items are a go and 01FFL stuff isn't. Yup, 'cause of the CFLC. Oh well. I'll take my business somewhere else.

I ordered a couple rifles and ammo from them last year. I have a C&R, though. They are really old school though. You can't order directly from their website and the stuff they have up there isn't always up to date. I was picky about the k98 I wanted and had to talk with the sales lady for 20 mins going through lists of which rifles she still had. It's hard to get someone on the line too because they are away from the phone at lunch and don't have a lot of phone lines. It's hard to get a routing number to check when your order arrives too. All in all, they seem like really nice folks though. I just felt like I was back in the 1980s or something placing a phone order.

*Edit* I just check out their website. I guess you can place an online order!

20 minutes if your IQ is below 70. It shouldn't take anyone with a grasp of the English language more than 5 minutes.

I ordered a $200 K31 with my FFL03 from Classic Arms the very day the new owners took over. The new owner took my order and seemed like a nice guy. He even mentioned he spent a lot of time in Long Beach, when he was in the navy.

Shame they no longer ship to a FFL01. Lousy business practice in my opinion.

actually, wideners wont ship to an 01 either, only 03 or 06 in CA. i think more places are going to adopt this mentality. i called CDNN last year inquiring about a steyr A1 9mm and was told they dont ship to CA period. they had really good prices and was hoping to jump on one, but alas.
