Nice deal you snagged; my No Series and Series 3 Nagoya's ran me $500-550, and only came with the cleaning rod and AA sights, albeit I bought them in 2017 and 2022. The likes of a period correct dust cover and monopod runs up the value of a Type 99 to over $1000 in my neck of the woods, and that's before including value added from a mum, sling, or Type 30 bayonet.

If its missing the scope your looking at about a 4-5K rifle depending on condition; Type 99 snipers tend to run higher than Type 97 sniper rifles because fewer of them were manufactured.(roughly 11,000 Type 99's snipers versus 22-23,000 Type 97's).

And good luck on scope shopping/hunting; the optic and mount will likely be equal to or more than the cost of the rifle itself.
