                As for getting ripped off, that is the real problem nowadays with anything that is valuable, there are always scumbags that are trying to steal your money. As a buyer, your best bet is to educate yourself as much as possible.

                Realistically, there are going to be very few original 1903-A4 sniper rifles that haven't been rebuilt or reworked at some point in their existence. How much and who exactly did the work is going to determine the actual value.
                At those prices I'd be tempted to try and restore my S-C sport job but the bits and pieces are $pendy and often difficult to locate. PAX
