    FFL03 Mailing Vs Physical Address

I'm applying for my 03 FFL and COE. The only problem is I live in Van Nuys, which is technically part of Los Angeles. According to local ordinance, it is illegal to ship ammo to my home here.

Fortunately, I have my own private office which I run my business from (not firearms related) outside of Los Angeles where I work everyday. I'm aware that the FFL lists both physical and mailing addresses.

The question is: Will ammunition vendors ship to my mailing address if I use my home in Los Angeles as the physical? Or can I use my office as the physical address for my FFL and avoid the headache altogether?

I believe to can use your non LA address for the license. The one drawback could be you would be required to keep any C&R firearms you would acquire at that location.
    Poke'm with a stick!

Some online sellers are wiling to ship to your mailing address. Others only ship to the premises. Clarify with the seller. Since the issue is a local ordinance, I would set your premises as your home since you would presumably be storing you acquisitions there and then your mailing address as your office.

I have a home in Oregon. Have considered using OR as my shipping address so I can order and receive guns and ammo shipped. Aside from the "maybe, maybe not" aspect of that proposition I've wondered if doing so would cause in state LGS to not sell "cash & carry" even though I have a COE.

          Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Unless he gets two FFL's. No reason he couldn't. They're only $30 every 3 years. Send the one at the work address to ammo vendors and use the other one for any firearm acquisitions.
