Haha yeah the m44 is heavier than my m38. I picked the m44 and wondered wth why is this heavier then I found out its almost 2lbs more. I didn't know that the vietnamese use the m44s. Thanks for the info!!

Hey Z. Where did you pick up or have our bolt modified? Or did it come to you that way?

It came that way from the guy I got it from. He told me he had it done from a gunsmith in sac. He said the guy works on mosins and have done it before in the past.

i think in the thread on this board "women and C&R guns" theres a pic of a vietnamese woman holding an american airman guard with an m44.

I just added a very nice Finn M39 to my fold. It's a 1942 B barrel model with a nice post war stock. Has a sling and the cleaning rod too. Nice non sewer pipe barrel too. Paid about two bills for for it. So I will be selling my 1941 VKT M39 w/ a pre-wartime stock still in cosmo here very soon. Let me know if any of you are interested.

what are the specifics of the ammo you'd like to get rid of? i'm in LA, so not out of driving range.

                        lightball? heavy? country of origin?
