Adding another mosin!

Haha I am going to pick up another mosin tomorrow from a calgunner. I have a m38, I saw he had a m44 with about 550 rounds of ammo. I need some ammo for when I go to BLM land so figured I might as well get another mosin with some ammo! I have m38 going to have a m44 tomorrow now later now the line gotta find a 91/30

I can echo that statement. The Mosin is a crude club compared to the Mauser. BUT I appreciate them both, for different reasons. I guess that's how parents must feel.

Haha oh geez, don't get me started. It's like you should have a regular 91/30 then you have to get an ex sniper because you want the bent bolt and to put the scope on too. The M44 has a bent bolt already so that MIGHT have a scope soon if I can raise some $$$.

finnish series, american series, french manufacture, asian manufacture, facist spain production, oddball configuration, etc etc...

the Mosin Nagant is easily the longest living rifle in the planet. Many of which have 100+ year old receivers are still in use by Finnish LEO/M in sniper and competitive rifle configurations

welcome to the mosin club x 2....they are almost as addictive as EBRs....I have one M38, one M44 and two 91/30's, one with P/u sniper and one standard

everytime I see another good looking $75-100 mosin, i'm tempted to get it....especially if it comes with ammo !

I got my mosin! *YAY* oh yeah I forgot to mention, it came with A BENT BOLT! The stock looks a lot better in person than in pictures. The pictures made the stock look really light and in person is just a little bit lighter than my m38. It's a polish but I don't see any import markings. My other one had the cai info on the side of the receiver. The bluing is very nice, didn't have a bayo but that didn't matter much for me. I am not sure if I should scope this one with the bent bolt or not? If I do, I am not sure if I should go scout style or not. I'm on a budget so I can always upgrade later. Crap, I got the mosin addiction!

Did you check the muzzle end of the barrel? That was the old place to put import markings. Sometimes you need to remove the cleaning rod to see them.

i do have to say i am still very activly seeking a 7mm spainish mauser as well as at least 2 more 8mms, another german and maybe another european country (no yugo). i would also always be down to pickup another nagant rifle, or even another nagant revolver. i love that thing!

i have to say though, now that i have my k31 swiss...its all over. i want another! this rifle is by far the best military surplus rifle i have ever bought. its so nice looking i almost dont want to shoot it
