N_S - did you actually go with your seller to the so called "transfer desk/tent" or did your seller sees your 03FFL and proceed with the sale normally (swap info)? Was your seller a NV resident or different state resident? Thanks.

We just swapped info. I was told as an FFL03 that's all I needed.
One seller was an NV based FFL01 and another was an FFL03 from a different state.

Both were well aware that I'm a California resident and told me they sell to California based FFL03s all the time.

Good to know, business as usual. My personal experience was the same in 1/2020, nobody went to use that "transfer tent" to call Metro.

Yes and no

By California law you can purchase a C&R firearm out of state, bring it in yourself and report it in CFARS. However, you must obey the firearms sales laws in the state you purchase in, it is up to you to research the laws for wherever you make such a purchase.

Question.
If I go out of state, in person, with my C&R license can I buy C&R long guns and handguns and bring them back myself?

Also, what if I don't have a COE yet?
I just got my C&R, DOJ is dragging butt on COE and I was invited on a trip to Reno this weekend so I can't wait. If I can't buy guns, that's that, but can I?
