They are blued which is the way it came from Remington. Only the receiver, barrel, and a few other parts were parked, the rest were blued from the factory.

I was going to say the same. I believe the bolt, rear sight assy, butt-plate and mag/trigger guard, barrel bands, and other parts were originally blued and not parked. Still, its a great rifle and I pay the $650.

That is what I thought, you "stumbled" upon a good deal. I would also have paid $650 w/out batting an eye. But I have to admit I am a sucker for C&R US Infantry weapons.

The range owner has an FFL so it goes through the DROS system.

Ah yes, that makes sense. Well congrats on a great looking rifle. I have three and they are all great shooters.
