Hi, I'm trying to figure out what I have here. I think its some kind of British or Belgian Bulldog. It has no identifying marks, but it does have a European proof mark on the cylinder. The cylinder flutes are rather unique, I've not seen a cylinder like that, even in pictures.

I'm listing this for sale later this week for a widow who's husband owned the gun. He had it marked "Hopkins & Allen "Army" but I'm confident that isn't correct. Any information you could provide would be appreciated. I'd especially like to know if its an antique. A lot of Bulldogs were.

You didn't - there is nothing there. Upload them to IMGUR. Even if you get it right, attachments here get shrunk to postage stamp size and/or quality reduced 95% of the time.

Hammer shape, and the 'diamond' pattern around the screw on the grip is the same as well.

I cannot see what caliber yours is but it looks like a Belgian velo-dog revolver - for cyclists to scare dogs - 5.5mm .22 long or shot usually.
Do a google image search on "Velo dog revolver."

If it's 9mm/.380 diameter, it may just be a Belgian copy hideaway sent to Germany where it obtained it's proof, or a fake proof.
The Belgian's copied EVERYTHING for a while, from Colts to Webleys, some of their copies were beautiful, others were very poor quality.

Wow - this looks like a dead ringer except for the grip checkering and a few other small details. But otherwise, seems safe to say that's it.

It also explains why the cylinder is so long, these 12mm gas rounds are like shotgun shells. And that could make them legally sketchy in CA, if you could chamber a shotgun round.

I have a similar odd little revolver. I will check mine over tomorrow and post pics since I have always wondered what it was. Need parts for it.
