I own one. Own one of the first 200 Beretta M1s ever made too.
Breda Mechanica was the equivalent of the Springfieild Armory. A government arms department of Italy.
Beretta was the equivalent of Winchester, IHC, ir HRA. A commercial business manufacturing arms for the Italian govt.Tire kickers gonna kick,

Breda and Beretta made names for themselves Post-WWII, using Garands as a foot in the door for military and police contracts by purchasing rights to build them in Italy. Beretta managed to get a contract with the Danish military to supply them with M1 Garands and Breda produced the majority of M1 Garands for Italy before they upgraded to the BM-59 rifles.Comment

I picked up a receiver a danish one with the crown on it. I basically liked the crown logo and that it was italian. lol
Some garand and m1 carbine store had a few of the italian receivers. I kinda wanted a tanker or snuff mini g build from it but ended up selling it.
2024 New Year?s resolution will be no posting..

Where did you get this information? At best, it is a "stylized" re-write of post WWII history, and our commitment to NATO.............Breda and Beretta made names for themselves Post-WWII, using Garands as a foot in the door for military and police contracts by purchasing rights to build them in Italy. Beretta managed to get a contract with the Danish military to supply them with M1 Garands and Breda produced the majority of M1 Garands for Italy before they upgraded to the BM-59 rifles.
Beretta already had a "name for themselves", without any involvement in M1 Garand production..... They didn't purchase the "rights to build M1s. Both BMR and Beretta got involved via the Italian government, and the US commitment to the newly formed, post-war NATO........Tire kickers gonna kick,
