After a long wait mine came today. Wish it hadn't.

It looks like pure butt. Almost zero finish on it, stock is chewed up, it's got rust and the bore scares me. I'm not feeling so hot tonight so I just stuck it in the garage and will deal with it once I feel better.

I think I'll end up selling it for what I paid to someone who wants a shooter.

It's like.. A Fulton Armory FAR-15 is not an AR-15, like how the Yugo M70AB2 is not an AK47, etc...

VEry technical, however well covered differences by law. This is especially important when it comes to so-called "assault weapons"

I understand your pain. My bores were pretty dark. I am going to try the electric bore cleaner mentioned earlier in this thread. Let us know how it cleans up.

                It's a good grade.

You know it's not so bad.. just that right now I don't have the time to restore and cold blue a rifle. I'm sure the metal will clean up nice, it's just the bore I'm unsure of and I've got a M48 mauser that looks like a sewer pipe and but it shoots straight so I'm not too worried about it.

I bought it on an urge and don't have room for it plus I already have a nice SKS so it's extra. If I spend the time refinishing it I'll probably just end up keeping it.

Is there any difference between MDL 59 from Century and M59 (not M59/66) from other dealers ? Please advise. Thank you.

I'm pretty sure it's the same.

Most of them have gone through century any way. The one you buy straight from them have a muzzle break welded on for California--thats all.

Thank you whitesmoke. Sometimes I should read what I reply to. Maybe I could add a grenade launcher to them then cut it off to prevent myself from creating "great destruction" and many tears--tears not unlike Jerimiah must have shed at the fall of Jerusalem to Nebuchadnezzar--all from that grenade launcher. Yes, yes many tears

Well, I got my Yugo back from Century Arms. Took 3+ weeks from when I sent it off, but it appears to be repaired. Ran thru a magfull with no problems. So far so good.
