It really is nice. Even better in person. The fire blue of the bolts and the stripper clip retainer are just beautiful. The bolts which hole the trigger guard in place are even numbered and matching.

Plus I got it for a very reasonable price. $800.00 The seller was a retired Customs Agent. So I got "the good guy discount" Also made a new friend!!

The stock needs a gentle cleaning as the wood is a bit dirty. But other than that it's ready to be displayed.

I also have a nice original sling which I've had on my other Peruvian 1909 that I'm going to put on this one.

Nice find and great price. I was looking this year on Gunbroker to add to my South American collection. But there seems to be one guy who's cornered the market on Peruvian mausers and he's asking $1500+ for all of them. And I just checked today and it seems like the same rifles are still for sale from summer. I keep checking for a reasonable auction (penny start) from another owner/vendor. Maybe next year.

I've got one that is in poorer condition and with the usual mis-matched bolt, mainly just to fill a hole in my collection.

The 1891 Peruvian also has the Lange Visier rear sight.
