Even the fonts for the numbers are cool, haha!! Nice pickup!!
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

Plus I got it for a very reasonable price. $800.00 The seller was a retired Customs Agent. So I got "the good guy discount" Also made a new friend!!

The stock needs a gentle cleaning as the wood is a bit dirty. But other than that it's ready to be displayed.

I also have a nice original sling which I've had on my other Peruvian 1909 that I'm going to put on this one.

Nice find and great price. I was looking this year on Gunbroker to add to my South American collection. But there seems to be one guy who's cornered the market on Peruvian mausers and he's asking $1500+ for all of them. And I just checked today and it seems like the same rifles are still for sale from summer. I keep checking for a reasonable auction (penny start) from another owner/vendor. Maybe next year.

I scored a nice one a few years back on the cheap, not matching, however. Beautiful rifle, Congrats!

Damn, SVT, that is a fine example and an excellent price.

I've got one that is in poorer condition and with the usual mis-matched bolt, mainly just to fill a hole in my collection.

The 1891 Peruvian also has the Lange Visier rear sight.

                    Incredible!

I noticed the bolt knob is similar in shape to the post WW1 Mauser sporting rifles. Very nice.

So ah...when are you going to get around to sporterizing the old beast and make it a real California
tactical deer rifle? They have some Chinese knock-off pink compensators on sale for Xmas.

There was such a time when you weren't officially considered a real man until you chopped, cut, sawed,
torched, grinded, or filed off at least a dozen integral parts of a German or Japanese WW2 Bring Back.

WOW!! Great score, Jim! Was the seller in the SAR building by chance?? The selection of C&R guns this year was one of the best I have seen in a very long time.

Sorry I missed you at SAR. Let me know next time you're down in the valley. Would love to get together!
