If you have an 003 FFL and a c o e, why would you d r o s it? Isn't that kind of the point of having that particular FFL? To be able to receive the firearm yourself.

Yes, I thought so too but, the Ca laws have changed and, by my reading, long guns now need to go though FFL as well. There seems to be some confusion as to which is correct, but a friend is an FFL, so I chose the cautious route.Comment

Unless the long gun is coming from within CA from another CA resident or you yourself physically pick up the long gun in another state and bring it back yourself. Of course we must self register in the time span dictated and logged in your book.

Yes, that is my understanding as well. Since this was coming from the CMP, even though they were more than willing to ship to me, I elected the FFL route.
California laws are quite the swamp....Comment
