The 9mm Broomhandles are essentially just rechambered 7.65mm Brooms to accommodate for the 9mm round with a modified sight and other minor modifications.

The "1912 spring kit" from Wolff should fit your Red 9 broomhandle with no problems.

Any 115-124gr ammo that is not +P velocity should be OK to shoot assuming your gun has no metal fatigue or micro cracks and with factory spec springs. Of course you still shoot a 100yr+ old gun at your own risk hoping some matching part doesn't break on you, even with new springs.

Always looking for good milsurp stores in the Bay Area... What shop was this?

Did they happen to have any Walthers (PP, PPK, P38?)

SPLOOSH! You got a dream gun right there. Not a bad price too from what I've seen.

Thank you for that Intel. She is original in nice shape. Still tight, bore is clean. I could not find info on value. Prices seem all over the place?
My only wish is I could afford both.

Looks nice, but the Broomhandle looks refinished/reworked; hard to tell from the photos, but close enough to appear as if it is.

That Artillery Luger looks as if original finish, with nice straw colors on the proper parts.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

I disagree on the Broomhandle being refinished. Telltale signs would be that sharp edges and corners being rounded off, especially around the hexagonal barrel extension chamber area, which looks sharp to me. It has strawed parts where it should be, but obviously better photos once OP picks up the gun from 10 day jail will reveal whether the gun was refinished or not. Tentatively I want to say it looks original to me, and OP probably has a better idea of the finish of the gun having seen it in person.

Just dropped by there this afternoon. Put that BYF 42 Luger on hold. Was too minty to pass up!

I have to wait till 10 May to DROS...

Am very tempted by the Artillery Luger as well. The only thing that made me hesitant was the "Made in Germany" stamp on the left side of the frame.

Being a DWM 1916 Artillery... I take it that means it was post war imported to the US? Not sure how much that import stamp hurts its collectibility or value...

I did for the moment... Just not as well versed on the Artillery Lugers and the "Made in Germany" stamping has me a bit worried about its collector value.

I think it may have been a post WW1 Import hence why it got the stamp.

Absolutely! That looks more like it.

I can see now those photos on which I made my comment just simply had to much high contrast. I was also looking at them on a monitor that is not the sharpest. So the bluing looked almost black and too universally flat and even coated in areas it simply would not have been.

Looks like a beaut! Definitely post some high-def pics after pick-up; the MauserC-96 has always been one of my favorite pistols!
