That holster looks like a tight fit! How were they able to squeeze their fingers in there to grip it and draw back in the day?

The leather pull tab raises the pistol out of the holster so you can draw it

Good stuff there. I went on a Luger quest and ended up with two of them. I was glad to find that .30 Luger ammo is relatively inexpensive and not hard to find.

With no idea what to expect I took one to the range with some new PPU ammo. 10 rounds, perfect function, great trigger and ergos, and very accurate. New MecGar magazines were used and they functioned great. They pop out forcefully, whereas the factory magazines just disengage and have to be pulled out.

This is my 1936 S/42 Luger, shot in slow-motion while firing.

I did see your other post with this. The Luger is such an odd creature to operate and this solidified my notion.

            Thanks for sharing

You can only imagine if the U.S. actually adopted the Luger in .45 caliber, there would still be people defending the action as the most elegant and reliable thing ever devised by the minds of man.

                  EMR,

I have a 1918 Erfurt and it shoots dead on the money. You might consider having the front site pushed a little to center up the shots, but otherwise that's a nice piece of history.

Mine shoots dead on the money with 124gr/4.0 TiteGrp/Winch SPP/1.14 COL. I can get 3" groups at 20 yards.

                  I. Love. This. Pistol.

FYI, never store a gun in a leather holster.
