    Mosin Nagants drying up ??

I was at the Big 5 in Apple Valley today, they did not have any Mil Surp rifles for sale. I ask the man at the counter what they may have coming in, he said some mausers but he wasn't sure what kind. I ask about Mosins.. he said, "the Mosins have dried up, they were not getting anymore.... ????

Anyone else hear anything like this. ?? I understood Mosins would be available for a very long time due to the numbers made and available. I see them for sale at different sites though.

all C&R's are drying up plus stricter import laws will reduce availability some more.

Even then, Century is saying the 91/30 is sold-out. Aim Surplus has some in stock though.

I'm glad I got mine a few years ago.

            I have an M38 I'm looking to sell. I haven't seen the 38's anywhere. Just 91/30's and M44's.

            BTW, it's in great shape.

yes they are drying up, as well as mausers.

you can still get mosin from jg sales, aim surplus and classic arms.

I noticed it about a month back with the 44's being gone from everywhere you could look.

Hopefully picking mine up on saturday!

Just waiting for the next shipment to come in to CAI. Shouldn't be long, then MNs will be available again.

I know that some Importers are holding some in storage, they claim they don't have time to inventory them but the longer they hold them the higher the price is. These guys but hundreds / thousands, guys like Gary Cole and he sells to Empire, Classis, etc. Mosins are desirable because of cost, there we many RC K98's but they have dried up and the cost nearly doubled - we know there are thousands still in the Ukraine, along with G/K-43's, P-38's, Lugers but they want too much for them and you can bet Obama will put in some import restrictions.

Hunters Lodge is selling the "Russian Artillery Carbine 44", for $169. I've never seen M44s priced anywhere near that. On the other hand, they've never been as scarce as right now.
