Unless you just pay way too much, or buy really lousy rifles, you won't lose money on these things. Even a few pieces i paid too much for years ago have appreciated enough to where i'd make money if i sold them now. That being said, i'm not selling them anyway so pffffttttt.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. If that were true forget about stocks, mutuals, bonds, and metals. I believe we have hit a peak.

Buying milsurp as investment is never gonna be significant in retirement planning But then, you can't play with your stock certificate, but you can get a lot more enjoyment in shooting your milsurps.

I've seen many guns outperform many stocks.

Aim Surplus has Mosins for $299. And they have the import numbers in the worst place imaginable, on top of the receiver. As expensive as these are I am sure they are going to keep going up.

Probably not $69 more like $100. It was just recently on this very forum a seller had (5) 91/30 refurbs with accessories for $200 each that sat unsold till I believe he dropped the price to $180.

Sarco for months has had the 91/30 with folding bayonet $275 for round $375 for Hex. They sit unsold.

Maybe Classic and Aim will find suckers to pay $300. Maybe not.

I would say the average 91/30 refurb price is closer to $200 than $300. A year ago they were above $300 and many were saying $500 is next.

The reason Century, AIM, and Classic have 91/30 is Sarco (same owners own Century) is bringing them in from storage of millions in Ukraine. Sarco buyer said there are warehouses full. There are not enough buyers to absorb what is sitting in collections there certainly are not enough to absorb thousands more.

Only supply is someone selling a MN they already bought. No more Big 5, turners etc.
Our tax money is probably being spent destroying them under the UN.

Sam Cummings was quoted in 1998 25 million small arms in former Soviet Union. Laws would need to change to bring them all in, but if GOP stays in charge it could happen.
