ATF FFL03 approval time line

How long does it normally take to recieve notification of ATF FFL03 approval? I recieved my CA COE in 10 calendar days. I'm on Calendar Day 27 for my FFL03 approval since they charged my credit card.

It can take as long as 90 days. Though it's usually less.

Be patient. I don't think there is a single queue that all agents that work on these things work off of. I have heard of people getting theirs back after two weeks while at the same time mine took ten weeks. Don't bother to call the ATF to inquire the status of your application. Just sit tight at home and wait patiently.

Thanks --I don't plan on calling or contacting the ATF anytime soon. I was actually surprised my CA COE was sent to me within 10 days. I just needed to get an idea of the "general expected" time frame on the FFL03. I'm just glad they charged my credit card and I'm able to track it that way, at least they received my application. I'm sure the ATF are busy these days.

I mailed my renewal in late November, I got the license back in mid April. My change of address a year and a half ago took 2 weeks.

The date your card was charged or check was cashed has ZERO to do with the license mailing date. It could take as long as 3 months, and I've seen it as short as 10 days for a renewal. Calling the BATFE licensing office will get you the same answer.

FWIW. Mailed out on April 12th and just received it last week. COE took 8 days.
