    Friend needs gun valuation

    Hello all,

Long story short a friend of mine has a friend who recently inherited some guns and needs to know what they are worth.

Not having enough knowledge myself I reach out to you - calguns gurus - for help.

    Thank you in advance.

    Gun 1 - Springfield Model 1873

    Gun 2 - I think it is a Winchester Model 1883 Hotchkiss

It is a she, and a very good person from what I understand.
That is why I am trying to help. Any ranges for some of these would be good to know (assuming I am naming the guns correctly) so that she can figure out if further appraisal should be done.

I may be getting more pictures today so I will keep posting.

              ><

Where are you located....I'll give some auction houses in your area to have them appraised.....this is the correct way to see exactly what you have.

Some of those guns are worth a good chunk of change....I will not go into details on a public forum.

              The #6 20ga is a Browning Superposed

That Trapdoor should fetch between 500 and 700 if still shootable.

I agree with Bainter1212, gun #1 is about a $500-$800 depending on condition, probably on the lower end of that range based on the photos.

Guns #2-4 I am not familiar with but have the feeling they are worth a pretty penny and are probably the type of rifles you would want auctioned off at Rock Island, especially the Winchesters

Gun #5 the Remington 11 is probably in the range of $250-$500

Gun #6 the Browning O/U is a quality over under, I don't know much about them but know even the cheap Turkish-made current production copies go for about $600. I would expect at least $1,000 and maybe even over $2,000, you'll have to research it further.

Gun #7 the Savage model 5 .22 is probably going to be $300 maximum if you find a vintage Savage collector, I think realistically it's probably a $150 gun

Message the user TRAP55 on here, he will probably be a good resource with guns #2-4

What about the flintlock pistol I see hiding in the back of the closet? And those pump .22s?

Unless that Rem 11 has a flaming bomb on it, I would value it at more like $200.
