I saw that one yesterday. It was obviously made from a sword like am 1860 saber which were and are very common. Not sure the $900 price tag is worth it though.

This portion is incorrect. There is no CA law that stipulates that a knife with a sharpened spine or second cutting edge is illegal. In California the definition of a dirk or dagger has very little to do with whether it is functionally a dirk or dagger.
A dirk or dagger in CA any fixed blade or folding knife with a locking blade that is worn in a concealed manner. (In the case of a folding knife, it would have to be unfolded with the blade locked open and concealed to be a dirk or dagger.) The exact same knife, worn opening is not a dirk or dagger. In this case, it's not what you carry, but rather, how you carry it that determines legality.Last edited by omgwtfbbq; 04-04-2018, 2:08 PM."Far and away the best prize life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing." - Theodore Roosevelt

*Do you think the police would have a problem with me carrying this one - it's a Robbie Dalton custom knuckle duster with switch-blade bill-hook blade?

*Joking of course - it's a knife in our prop-storage that has worked in several of my films - "Stone Cold" Steve Austin used it in "The Package" and Tony Jaa gets beaten up with it, in my next film "Triple Threat."
Hence the rubber fight dummy on the left.

I saw those reproduction IMA M6 scabbards, I just couldn't bring myself to buy one. On their "own-some" the cheapest "original" M6 scabbard ended auction at a little over $400, too much for this non-sensical hobbyist - I waited until I saw an affordable-knife in a used-scabbard, and grabbed it.
*Regarding the knife - there seems to be a small collector-core of folks specializing in WW2 (and WW1) "Theater-made" blades and weapons. I am not sure if that is one, or just a post-war fishing-knife. But, they have some following. Not my thing, really, though of course they could have significant sentimental and historical relevance.
