What a fun collection. Can you shoot the wee little ones at your home?

Thanks, the smaller ones I do fire around the house in town with blank salute loads.

Have to go about 7 miles when I fire live loads at a Friends local Sand pit.

Those are spectacular!! What model is the small WWI looking cannon on the right bottom? Does it fire?

                  Thanks

I build most of my stuff. But that small camouflage one was actually made by Dom Carpenter in PA. He builds some neat stuff for very reasonable pricing. It is a small replica of a French 75

I have another very cool one coming from Dom. It is Vavesseur model. Will post a pic and video of it when iy arrives soon, in a separate thread.

Yes it fires and is a .50 caliber. The barrel itself recoils just like a real one did.

Not my video, but it is the actual cannon I own.

Those are all kinds of cool....That would be a fun day at the range to fire those off and actually dial them in to hit something. Thanks for posting for a second I also wanted a cannon but got slapped on the back of the head for even thinking it lol

Whats a slap on the back of the head anyway, right. You could probably recover quickly.

Dom finished my little Vavesseur, just Saturday actually.

All I have are pics he sent me so far. But it very cool. One with the shield, One with it removed. 1 Inch bore.

It traverses for both elevation and right and left. Barrel recoils rearward just like a real one did also.

I am amazed that Dom can build me something this nice for 425.00..Yes it is small scale, but still alot of work and materials there.

Going to be painstaking waiting for it to actual arrive.

                      Hers a couple pics.

I have two cannons. Both have two foot barrels on them and a bore of about an inch and a quarter. Could your friend Dom build one like the field piece you have that fits on a trailer. I have always wanted a full sized cannon but not something antique that might be more dangerous than usual to shoot. I like the last pics you posted especially without the gray shield.

Oh I am sure he could, but it would get pretty costly I am sure. Just shipping it would get very costly too. He would likely build anything within his capability's though..

Only my Hughes requires trailing. But there is alot to be said for the ones that can just go in a pickup easily. Especially when you get a little older like me.

This in full scale, even half scale, would be very difficult to move if you were to load and unload form a trailer every time. I am guessing it would weigh as much as 1000 lbs in full scale.

Yes it is prettier when the shield is removed. Kinda a shame to hide all the beauty underneath. But that shield was there on a full size original. Easy to remove it though.
