    svt40

i took the svt out today for the first time and i was very pleased. i shot 60 rnds. and only one little hickup and it was caused by the shell kinking at the neck. i was going to take my 303. but couldn't find any ammo on short notice. for those that don't own an svt, i highly recommend getting one.

I love mine! Muzzle brake is fairly loud, but recoil is mild.

            Kick is totally managable.
The trick is finding a good one to buy without the arm/leg loss.

Oh my God how dare you post this thread without pictures. The SVT 40 is easily one of the most beautiful rifles ever made...

                        c'mon lets see it

                        slight thread jack here...sorry

I've got a question....A buddy of mine has an SVT. It's a nice gun, and a blast to shoot. But every time you pull the trigger, it feels like someone punched you in the face. Not quite painful, but definitely hard enough to get your attention. I'm just curious if anyone else has an SVT that does this, or if it's specific to my buddy's gun.

I don't take mine out a lot (it's the most valuable milsurp I have), but it's fun to shoot. For those who wanted a picture, here's mine, a '43 Tula.

Love how you got the light colored ground to show through the vents in the upper hand guard.

would love to have a couple more in my collection...but that are pricy right now.
