      The thing about buying C&R pistols especially from out-of-state is that some FFLs charge a ton of money. I got charged $75 plus tax plus DROS on a $325 Star Model B, so the pistol ended up costing over $430. That's too expensive for my budget. So I never bothered. I would think it would be better to purchase a C&R out-of-state and then register it when coming back.
