        Wow! My first thought was that the buyer should be committed, but then again there are people who pay millions, even tens of millions, for a painting that any ten year-old could replicate in their backyard. The SKS is probably a better investment.

                It isn't cheap by my standards, but in the grand scheme of things it is rather affordable for such a rare bird that doesn't have that "freshly dredged from a swamp" look.

                  Maybe it showed up in the 80s when most of us saw an SKS for the first time..

                  Maybe someone acquired it cheaply thinking it just another one of many flooding the US at that time.... Because the seller didn't know any better either..Doesn't seem to have any 'papers' with it.

                  Unfortunately buyer decides to refinish it..

                    They were being sold by Vets in the late 70s to early 80s - No ammo -
