I am a sometime collector of the Mosin Nagant. Stumbled into a big5 91/30 and as I learned the histories, moved into other variants and toward the Finns. Haven't been too active lately but will return to it. I collect them for their originality and quirkiness and leave them the way the come.

With that said, I invested in some of the OPs adjustable sights years ago and have found them a fantastic and totally reversible improvement to the shootability of the rifle. The quality of the sights are outstanding, prices are reasonable and the customer service impeccable. Totally differant experience shooting an old warhorse with an adjustable steel or fiber optic front sight that hits point of aim. I recommend these sights to anybody with a passing interest.

That said, OP, i found your site recommended by other shooters while learning about the rifles. I don't know if your ad budget would be best spent here. Pretty slim percentage of Calgunners that rock the C&R stuff, even smaller percentage of those that want to mod. I think there are a few other C&R and even Mosin specific sites that would get you more traffic.

You can bet if anybody brings up the topic here, I and others will send them your way. Best of luck.

I put taller, file-to-fit front sight posts on my 91/30's and no more plans for modding. I just sold 2 of the 4 I own. I'm not losing interest, just not adding any more to the stable. In fact I'm trying to cull the herd some.

          Thank you, Folks.

I'll consider all this and we'll see what I decide to do. I enjoy it here and haven't been around enough lately.

I checked out your site-it is pretty cool.

Any mods I do would have to be inapparent when looking at the rifle.

I just like my milsurps to look period correct.

Busted my Mosin out of the safe and snapped the trigger a few times last night.

            Boy is that trigger bad.

Once I get it extracting fired brass without almost needing a hammer-I may look you up for a trigger and/or your basic accurizing parts.

Why not just open a "check out these cool mosin products" thread. Advertising is way overrated.

I totally ignore banner ads and never click on them except by accident. I have never really bought anything advertised on a gun discussion forum due to advertising. I may just happen to already do business with somebody that advertises on a gun forum or is a sponsor but not because of that.

                  Hello,

I'd not feel right doing so unless I were a paid advertiser again.

                  Regards,

                    Hello,

Previously, I don't think I had a banner ad, though I may have.

Mostly, it just let me post specials and sales I was having.

I enjoy 1911 pistols. I won't buy something just because someone's advertising it, but I will try to purchase from a board advertiser before I purchase from someone not advertising on the board.

Additionally, I like to be kept up on new products for platforms I enjoy. Most recently, I was impressed by Chip McCormick's railed RPM magazines and tried them out. I now carry them on my person -- one eight-round in the carry gun and two ten-rounders as spares.

They took the place of the Wilson and Tripp Cobra magazines I carried previously.

In that aspect, I do appreciate advertising.

                    Regards,

                    Josh
