Begin anyway you can get more photos?

Looks like some rebluei and and scrubbed numbers on the bolt. Also are the 'WAR EAGLES still present?

The GB auction link has more pictures. Most of the waffen proofs have been defaced. Bolt safety pencil looks electro'd in. I think it's an interesting piece. I don't think it's a RC given that there's no X's on either side of the receiver. Most likely an East German refurbish (given the lack of Yugo and RC markings) which was sold to the Iraqis. Are there any import marks on it? I could be a "vet bringback" from one of the Middle East wars (Gulf War or Iraq/Afghanistan).

Not all RCs have the crossed rifles stamp (AKA, the "X"). I have 2 and sold a third, and none of them do.

It's at my FFL for 10 days so can't get any more pictures right now BUT it does have those X's on the side of the receiver. So I guess that means it is a RC for sure?
Should be a good shooter for years to come with a good bore.
          Thanks

The auction says small import mark.

It's probably a Fed Ordinance import. The Iraqi Mauser rifles are a neat field to collect. Many have East German proofs, and some have Czech marks. Well worth the price paid by the OP.
